Dr. David Ng,  B.Sc., O.D.

Dr. Ng grew up in the Bayview and Sheppard area. After graduating from York Mills Collegiate, he continued his studies at the University of Waterloo where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. Dr. Ng completed his internship at the Eye Foundation of Utah and at Salt Lake City University Hospital receiving extensive training in the treatment and management of eye diseases.

He began practicing in 1995 as an associate optometrist in downtown Toronto. In 1997 Dr. Ng moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to practice primary care optometry and further his experience with therapeutic treatment of eye diseases.

Dr. Ng returned to the Bayview and Sheppard area in 2000 to open his current practice. Dr. Ng is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor as a supervisor for optometric interns from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.

Dr. Ng is an active lecturer and consultant to many academic and corporate institutions. In recent years his work on contact lenses and macular degeneration has taken him to meetings in Italy and Germany.

He is active within his church and in his community. He lives in the area with his wife and two sons.


Dr. Duc Le,  B.Sc., O.D.

Dr Le grew up in Scarborough and attended W.A. Porter C.I. After graduation, Dr Le obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, St George campus in 1992 and then went on to finish his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1995. Dr Le also completed an internship at the Eye Foundation of Utah and Salt Lake City University Hospital which focused on extensive training in treatment and management of eye disease and was certified by the American Board of Examiners in Optometry for the treatment and management of eye disease in 1995.

Dr. Le has maintained a full service private practice in downtown Toronto since 1995 and in 1997 began a satellite practice in Thornhill Ontario which was eventually merged with Dr. Ng’s practice in 2001.

Dr Le is also an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Association of Optometrists and is trained as an affiliate of TLC laser centre for the co-management of laser surgery. When not in the office Dr. Le can often be found outdoors snowboarding in the winter and golfing in the summer.


Dr. Norris Lam, O.D.

Norris Lam graduated on Dean’s Honour List at University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.  During her internship at Vision America of Alabama, a multi-specialty referral center, she received advanced training in ocular therapeutics and laser vision correction comanagement. She also worked with low vision practitioners and prescribed interesting low vision aids to people with uncorrectable vision reduction.

Dr. Lam was a past editor for CAOS Canadian Handbook of Optometry and has co-authored a publication in the Canadian Journal of Optometry.  Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering.  She has led a volunteering team to receiving the prestigious Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year award in 2003.  While she enjoys helping people of all ages, she has a special interest in low vision and ocular disease.

She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.


Dr. Alex Hui, O.D.

Alex Hui graduated with Honours from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.  He interned at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma, receiving advanced training in the management of ocular disease.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Hui is currently completing a PhD in Vision Science.  His area of research is on the development of contact lens materials for drug delivery.  His work has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals. His outside interests include basketball, automobiles, and golf.

Dr. Lisa Chan, Optometrist

Dr. Lisa Chan completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Ophthalmic Medical Technology as an undergraduate at the University of Ottawa in 2008. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honours at the University of Waterloo’s School of Optometry and Vision Science in the summer of 2012. During her externship at the Cataract and Laser Eye Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, she received advanced clinical training in the management and treatment of many ocular diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr. Lisa Chan is passionate about promoting proactive healthcare and preventative medicine with her patients, who span all ages. She has special interests in ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Chan is fluent in English and Cantonese. Her interests outside the office include yoga, cooking, and learning Korean.
